I decided to go with a paint scheme that was fairly realistic and historic.  The plans and decal set that I purchased were for the Chuck Yeager "Glamorous Glen II".  My scheme closely resembles that.

The first thing was to mask off the window and the cockpit area, which was already painted black, then paint everything silver.  I ordered and paid for a decal set that had the "stars and bars" and some stripes and various other decals, but after looking at other toys I decided to paint all of these items on.  We have several toys that belong outside and all of the decals are peeling in the sun.

Below you have the silver paint on, and I have taped off for the white background for the "star and bar". Then more tape and paper to prepare for the blue - you can see the star blocked out.    Peel off a few pieces of tape and there you have it...........

More Paint
